Description
Though forest fires are a natural part of a healthy forest life cycle, the intensity and frequency of our fires are symptoms of global warming: a planet out of balance.
This print is an image of devastation post fire, a visual message of destruction leaving us with a question: “What next?”
Printed with professional quality block printing inks on archival paper.
Printed area: 9 x 12 inches
Paper: 11 x 14 inches
Method: Variable Edition Reduction Linocut
Each multiple layer print in this edition was made from the same lino block. Multiple layers were made by carving and then inking at different intervals. (There are between 4-6 layers of ink on each print) My painterly side came out in the colour mixing throughout the process, so each print is distinctly unique in this edition.
