Mini Watercolour Painting
Come and drop by for a relaxed afternoon of painting- all supplies provided. In this workshop, we will make tiny paintings (around 2×3 inches) for the joy of it. Working small has its advantages- it can be less daunting than a large surface, and a lot quicker, so we know we can try again if it doesn’t turn out. When we are less afraid of mistakes, creativity can bloom. There will be a general introduction to the materials (watercolour paint, paper, brushes, etc) and techniques for those unfamiliar with watercolour. Sample project inspiration will also be provided, and I will be available to provide help, “mini” lessons, and advice.…

Gelli Plate Printing Workshop
Come and explore textures and layering in this fun workshop session. We will use gelatine as our basis to hold and transfer impressions of various objects to paper. The process is very accessible for all levels of artistic experience, yet also holds a lot of room for experimentation, exploration, and play. Every print is unique, bringing suspense and surprise with each print reveal. All materials are provided, but participants are also welcome to bring their own flat textured items to print if they wish (such as leaves, feathers, packaging, lace, etc).
